He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thompson and Anna Thompson (Eifler); his sisters, Patricia Sullivan and Anna Thompson; and his sons, Stephen and David Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Irene (Knott); his siblings, Harry Thompson (Rose) of Springfield, VT, Robert Thompson, Margaret Rettman (Ed) of Franklin, MA, Dorothy Flannelly and Kathleen Gordan; and his children, Edward Thompson (Sherry) of Flower Mound, TX, Darryl Thompson (Kitty) of Lafayette, LA, Robert A. Thompson of Woodworth, LA, Irene Harper (Dwayne) of Alexandria, LA and Debbie Landry (Danny) of Carencro, LA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
