He was predeceased by: his parents, Stonewell Serrett and Gladys Serrett; and his son-in-law Kenneth Doucet. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Strickland Serrett; his children, Melissa Doucet of Zachary, Francelle Guillet (Chip) of Baton Rouge, Brittney Peraino (Sal) of Versailles, KY, Ashley Courville (Blaine) of Draper, UT, Darrell W. Serrett Jr. (Cheryl "Tootie") of Zachary, Michael Serrett of Plaquemine and Jeffrey Serrett (Roberta) of Zachary; his siblings, Karen Serrett of Calgary, Canada, Laurie Serrett (Blaine Falcon) of Port Allen and Michael Serrett of Monroe, GA; his nieces and nephews, Nik Serrett, Brynt Rushing (Kayla), Erin Duncan and Emily Serrett; his grandchildren, Trey, Justin, Kyle, Rebekah, Jake, Alec, Ava, Amber, Kacie, Logan, Reese, Cohen, Lawson, Brooks, Giorgio, Margo and Mila; and his great grandchildren, Raylan, Oliver and Caleigh.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Plains Presbyterian Memorial Gardens.
