We bid farewell to Dorothy Mae Lawrence Milam of Zachary, Louisiana, born in Shaw, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband John Vernon Milam, Sr.; her sons-in-law, Joseph R. Snodgrass and Steven R. Geiger; and her siblings, Laverne, Jenny, James and David.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Milam Snodgrass, Carolyn Milam Warren (Tommy), Sandra Milam Howard (Dennis) and John V. Milam, Jr. (Melanie); and her grandchildren, Eric David Warren and Lauren Brooke Milam. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. (4230 High St, Zachary, LA 70791). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
