She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Lilley Mills, III and Rotha Hyner of Jackson, LA.; and her husband Rev. Ernest Hugh Abraham of South Africa. She is survived by : her daughters, Margaret Cherry Fredericks (Carl), Lauren Mills Cherry (Tim Fontenot) and Nina Cherry Lombard (Mark); and her great grandchildren, Chandler and Charlotte. She is also survived by four sisters, one brother, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“I am so sorry for your loss. All I could think of when I saw Rothta's notice on Facebook was of the summers Julie and I spent our "vacations" at each others homes. Her to ride my bike and me to ride horses. Those were the days. I willl not be able to attend services tomorrow but I will be thinking of you and praying for you. Sandra Ellzey Bates”
