We bid farewell to Melanie Dotson (Zachary, Louisiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 29, 2025 at the age of 72. Melanie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her father John Rodney; and her son-in-law Jason Webb. She is survived by: her husband Gordon W. Dotson; her children, Stephanie Dotson Webb, Rev. Kelly Dotson (Amy) and Jeremy Dotson; her grandchildren, Klaytin, Kayne, Kyrbie Webb, Alexander and Amelia Rose; her mother Janette Louviere Cochran; and her siblings, Christopher Semper (MaryAnne Tierney), Sharon Brunk (John Henry), Connie Rudolph and Rebecca Hord (Steed). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In honor of Melanie the family asks that donation be made to Plains Presbyterian Church's Lighthouse ministry which supports and extends care to families touched by Special Needs.
