She was predeceased by: her husband Jerald Lee Barksdale; her parents, Allen Darlin Haynes and Othella Bowen Haynes; her sister Jettye Haynes Goudeau; and her granddaughter Emily Blair Sessions.

She is survived by: her daughters, Eugena B. Sessions (Jody) and Shannon B. Schmidt (Rim); her grandchildren, Caleb Schmidt, Shelby S. Willis, Mark Ryan Schmidt, Bonnie S. Zumbro and Shannon S. Felder; her great grandchildren, Vivian Jo Schmidt, Jackson Roy Schmidt, Rimi Elizabeth Schmidt, Bailee Blair Willis, Hailee Camille Willis, Amelia Grace Zumbro, Rowan James Zumbro, Corban Gale Zumbro and Parker Sessions Felder; and her sisters, Othella Allene Haynes Freeman and Joyce Haynes Gant.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to First Baptist Church in Zachary, LA or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
