In loving memory of Barbara Jean Gillespie of Abington, Massachusetts, who departed this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 96. Barbara Jean leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward H MacDonald and Edith MacDonald (Steele); and her siblings, Dorothy Turner, Richard, Gordon, George, Kenneth and Ralph MacDonald.
She is survived by: her niece Marylou Allsopp; her friends, Gail Dobbins, Pamela Frizzell and Michael Diamond; and also Janice Appleby. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home (134 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Barbara to Old Colony Hospice.
