He was predeceased by : his parents, John McNulty and Mary McNulty; and his siblings, Jack McNulty, Marilyn Whalen and Alice MacGillivray.

He is survived by : his wife Merrie McNulty; his sister Dorris Blanchette; his sister-in-law Donna McNulty; his sons, John McNulty II (Laura Fistori) and Duffy McNulty (Joy McNulty); and his grandchildren, Marie McNulty Ross (James Ross), John III, Matthew, Danny, Abigail, Gwen, Corrine and Lauren.
