He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Rhodes (Mariani); his brother Richard Rhodes; and his close friend Marie Dempsey. He is survived by: his sons, Robert E. Rhodes (Karen) of Oxford and William Rhodes (Cheryl) of Chelmsford; his grandsons, Bobby and Jeffrey Rhodes; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Rhodes and Tony Mariani.
