Doris leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Doris’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Doris will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry J. Bush, Sr. and Ila Fleming Bush; and her husband Raymond F. Matteson, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Raymond Matteson, Jr. of Pittsfield, Scott Matteson, Sr. of Adams, Elaine Matteson of Dalton and Robin Mazzatini of Adams. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cheshire United Methodist Church (197 Church St, Cheshire, MA 01225). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
