He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick P. Gancarz and Jeannine L. Gancarz (Tetreault); and his siblings, David Gancarz and Brenda Shafferick. He is survived by: his wife Lynn M. Lavendol; his children, Heather Gancarz of Pittsfield and Joshua Gancarz (Kiersten Hunt) of Adams; his grandson Jackson Molleur of Pittsfield; his sister Linda Tassone (Wayne) of Adams; and his stepmother Helen Gancarz of Adams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
