We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2025, at the age of 93, John R. Wilson Jr. (Agawam, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Wilson, Sr. and Mattie Inez Wilson (Murray); his wife Ethelyn Wilson (May); his stepdaughter Theresa Stroy; his brother Rudolph S. Wilson Sr.; and his sister-in-law Corrie J. Wilson.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Christine Robinson of Oakland, Nysa Sanders of Chapel Hill, Ethelyn Conner of Raleigh, NC and Armand Richardson (Constance) of Springfield, Massachusetts; and his stepson-in-law Felton Stroy of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces, as well as many dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
