He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Cook Jr. and Lea Cook (Breton); his wife Eleanor A. Cook (Gilmore) of Amesbury; and his brother Francis Cook. He is survived by: his children, Brian (Kathy) of Bethlehem, NH, Glenn (Karen) of Amesbury, Edward (Sylwia) of Bryan, TX, Steven (Alison) of Plum Island, Chris (Paul) of Wenham, MA, Kerry (Daniel) of Monroe, CT and Kathy (Matthew) of Woodsboro, TX; and his sister Marie of Fairfield, California. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (50 Union St, South Hamilton, MA 01982). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Hamilton Cemetery (623 Bay Rd, South Hamilton, MA 01936).
At the family's request, please omit flowers. Instead, memorial donations may be made in Ed's honor to the Anna Jaques Hospital Intensive Care Unit 25 Highland Avenue Newburyport, MA 01950.
