She was predeceased by: her husband John F. "Jack" Smart, Jr.; her parents, Wilfred LaMothe and Rose LaMothe (Jones); her siblings, Richard LaMothe and Gloria Pearsall; and her grandson Joshua Michael Smart.
She is survived by: her children, Paul G. Smart (Tammy) of Myrtle Beach, S. C. and Gloria M. Cormick (Smart) of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Matthew A. Smart (Amanda), John-Michael Smart (Kara Renee), Clinton W Cormick, Jr. (Meghan) and Kerry Fisher. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
