He is survived by: his wife Susan Bruffee (Carpenter); his children, Joseph James Bruffee (Jessica) of Tennessee and Julie May Baliga (Nikhil) of Manchester; his stepdaughter Sarah Mae Carpenter of Northampton; his sister Katherine R. Maleno (Michael) of Greenfield; and his nieces, Nancy Kay Maleno of Greenfield and Victoria Ada Maleno of Greenfield.
