Joseph R. Crowley Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph R. Crowley Jr. of Amherst, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joseph shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joseph farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Crowley and Dorthy Crowley; and his siblings, Francis and Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Crowley (Markert) of Amherst; his sister Dottie; and his sister-in-law Unity.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport, he was inducted into the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association Coaches Hall of Fame in 1990.
