Bernice E. Downs Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice E. Downs of Andover, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Bryant and Ida Bryant (Heinz); her husband William T. Downs; and her sisters, Marion Jaffre of Connecticut and Esther Norton of Andover.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen (Robert Wisecarver, Jr.), Barbara (Robert Morache) and Lesley (Mark Hewett); her grandchildren, Christian Wisecarver (Sarah), Meagan Wisecarver, William Morache (Guinevere), Robert Morache, Dustin Hewett (Courtney), Bonney Brunelle (Robert) and Brittney Hewett; and her great grandchildren, Marly, Tighe, Caden Wisecarver, Riley, Thea and Conall Hewett. She is also survived by several nieces, extended family, and numerous cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conte Funeral Home - Andover (28 Florence St, Andover, MA 01810). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Free Christian Church (31 Elm St, Andover, MA 01810).
