He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Carlan and Emily A. Carlan (Ligocki); and his brother Leonard M. Carlan. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward M. (Frances M. Carlan) of Peabody, Richard M. (Janice Carlan) of Peabody and Kathleen M. (Barry M. Blakeman) of Halifax. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
