He is survived by: his granddaughter Faith; his family, Quincy, John and Wollaston; his wife Anne Nicholson Murphy; his sons, John D. O'Brien Jr., Thomas N. O'Brien and William J. O'Brien; his grandchildren, Matthew, Kate, Lucas, Nina, Tomas, Dureti, Jack and Michael; his daughters-in-law, Kathleen, Tricia and Colleen; his caregiver Anne; and his sister Sheila Burke of Abington.
