Rita (Hamel) Arsenault Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, Rita (Hamel) Arsenault of Andover, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Rita farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rita is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Arsenault; and her brother Henry Hamel (Hank). She is survived by: her sons, Richard Arsenault (Joseph Lachimia) of Quincy and Russell Arsenault (Liz Markewicz) of Tarpon Springs, FL; and her sister Irene Proulx of Lawrence. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (43 Essex St, Andover, MA 01810). She continued as a volunteer in various capacities until 2020 when she retired permanently due the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown.
