We announce the death of Alfred Paynter of Arlington, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Paynter and Helen Paynter; and his siblings, Paul Paynter and Patricia Paynter. He is survived by: his sister Arleen Walsh; and his wife Maureen.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home - Arlington (5 Chestnut St, Arlington, MA 02474). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Eulalia Church (50 Ridge St, Winchester, MA 01890).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in "Doc's" memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
