He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad W. Hamel and Pauline F. Hamel (Parenteau) of Florida; his siblings, Billy Hamel of Florida, Bryan Hamel of Florida, Karen Nelson (Picardi) of New York and David Picardi of Massachusetts; and his parents-in-law, Michael J Lucas and Barbara A Lucas (Joyce) of Somerville.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne M. Hamel (Lucas) of Arlington; his children, CoCo and Benji; and his nephews, Todd Nelson of New York, Michael Nelson of New York and Patrick Salvato, Jr. of Somerville.
