It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen M. Lavelle of Arlington, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur McAvoy and Mary McAvoy; her brother Arthur; and her siblings-in-law, Kay McAvoy of Arlington, James Brady of Arlington, Frank Lavelle of Arlington, Peter and Vince.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick; and her siblings-in-law, Mary, Mike Lavelle of Maine, Bridget, Marie Lavelle of Brookline and Breda Lavelle of Brockton. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Trustee of the McAvoy Foundation that awarded scholarships to area high schools students through the Touchdown Club of Arlington for the Arthur J. McAvoy Family Trust Award.
