Gilbert R. Christensen Obituary
Gilbert R. Christensen, also known as Gil, 69, of Arlington, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was born on May 15, 1956 to the late Robert and June (Clifford) Christensen in Boston, MA.
Gil was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and was proud to serve his country in the Vietnam War. Gil was a true patriot, and a lover of beaches and warm weather. In his free time, he enjoyed learning about world history and being outside soaking up the hot sun. A man with a massive heart, he loved his family and friends immensely, and cherished the simple things in life including birthday cards and simple phone calls just to say hello. Gil struggled with addiction in this lifetime, but will be remembered for the overflowing love in his heart and his immense strength and courage.
Gil is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Luciano, her husband Josh and their dog Hamilton of Derry, NH; his sister, Karen Aron of Saint Augustine, FL; his nephew Sean Kennedy of Saint Augustine, FL; niece Shannon Kennedy Leonard of Flagstaff, AZ; nephew Clinton Paulenka of Litchfield, NH and Clifford Paulenka of West Palm Beach, Florida; niece and nephew Ashley and Alex Poser of Gainesville, FL.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 1st at 11:30am at Saint Agnes Church in Arlington, MA with a burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA to follow.
