He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Benjamin Hobson and Bertha Lacount Smart Hobson; his brothers-in-law, John Caruso, Albert Egan and Robert Freeman; and his nephews, David Egan and Michael Egan.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Hobson; his daughters, Deborah Hobson and Donna Hobson; his grandson Carlos Antonio Benjamin Dias; his sisters, Susan Caruso and Kathryn Hobson; and his sister-in-law Audrey Egan. He is also survived by several nieces and grand nieces and grand nephews.
