She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Martell and Claire Martell. She is survived by: her husband Robert Shea; her daughters, Kelly Shea (Shawn Boilard) and Jessie McGovern (Louis McGovern); her grandchildren, Nolan, Leo and Morgan McGovern; and her siblings, Robert Martell (Dede), Patrick Martell (Peggy), Yvonne Manning (Martell) and Teresa Russo (Martell). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Sue's memory to Fidelity House in Arlington, MA—a community close to her heart.
