He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A. Blanchard and Virginia Blanchard (O'Connor); and his brother Frank A. "Butch" Blanchard III (Lois Hackett Adams) of Townsend. He is survived by: his sisters, Lyssa Boudreau and Rosemary Blanchard of Westminster; his sister-in-law Joan Blanchard of Townsend; and his nieces and nephews, Peter Blanchard, Patrick Blanchard, Rebecca Borneman, Jessica Blanchard, Matthew Borneman, Jason Borneman and Elisabeth Borneman.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the US Marine Corps toys for tots.
