We announce the death of Matthew C. Peeler of Ashby, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 88. Matthew will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Matthew will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Matthew will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Matthew’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Peeler and Margaret Peeler (Briggs); his wife Nancy Leonard; his son Eric Peeler; and his brother Robert Peeler.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Peeler of Ashby; and his sister Susan Dean of Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
