She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Freeman and Gussie Freeman; her sister Pauline Tolmach (Freeman); and her husband Lester Hirsch. She is survived by: her children, Diane (Scott) and George (Sharon); her grandchildren, Isaac (Margo), Alessandra (Evan), Emily (Kevin) and Aaron (Melanie); and her great grandchildren, Audrey, Gabriel, Charles, Zoe, Rory, Aiden and Olivia.
