He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Ahern and Marie O. Ahern (Demers); and his siblings, John Francis Ahern, George Ahern, Rose Kaufman, Margaret Curtin, Paul Ahern and Bernadette Ahern.
He is survived by: his wife Carmel Ahern (Leblanc); his son Brian Ahern (Beth Yeager Ahern) of Westwood; his grandsons, Christopher Ahern (Elizabeth) and Patrick Ahern (Meryl); his great grandchildren, Luke J. Ahern, Piper E. Ahern and Dillon H. Ahern; and his siblings, Robert Ahern and Mary Ellen Hill (Elroy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
