Robert Joseph Gonfrade Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Gonfrade of Ashland, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 22, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Gonfrade and Constance Gonfrade (Murialdo); his sister Liliane Gonfrade; and his daughter Mary Ann Gonfrade. He is survived by: his wife Joan Gonfrade (Murphy); his children, Cindy Lichwell of Plymouth, Joseph Gonfrade (Kimberly) of Bellingham, Kerry Spah (Lance) of Ramsey, MN and Darrin Hagerty (Michele) of Seymour, WI; his grandchildren, Andrew Joyce (Ashley), Alexander Gonfrade, Sean Brown, Erica, Jordan Spah and Austin Hagerty; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Callum and Asher; his foster children, Carol, Donald and Robbin; his sister Yvonne Tuck of Ashland; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Murphy and Carol Hicks; and his son Sean Hagerty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Matarese Funeral Home (325 Main St, Ashland, MA 01721). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Cecilia's Church (54 Esty St, Ashland, MA 01721). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at the Wildwood Cemetery (160 Chestnut St, Ashland, MA 01721).
