We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2024, at the age of 90, Robert E. Thayer of Athol, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert H. Thayer and Louise E. Thayer (King). He is survived by : his wife Judith; his daughters, Denise Laffond (Reggie) of Athol and Mary Mallet (Ted) of Athol; his stepsons, Roger Duguay (Mary Ann) of Wilbraham, Michael Duguay (Rachel) of Charlton and Jerry Duguay (Deb) of Athol; and his siblings, John Thayer, Carolyn Coughlin, Patricia Kellogg and Michaele Bartus (Richard). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mack Family Funeral Homes - Fiske Murphy & Mack Chapel (110 New Athol Rd, Orange, MA 01364). The military honors was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery (111 Glenallen St, Winchendon, MA 01475).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to a charity of one's choice.
