“My Dad was my person. He was remarkable for his generation known for being emotionally distant, and he was, but unlike most he changed. When he had grandchildren and saw me raising them so differently and he was not happy. A few years went by and he saw the wonderful results of attached peaceful parenting. He broke one night out of the blue and apologized for how he judged before, how he raised us, the damage done. And just like that my distant father found healthy attachment and so did I. -Kim”
