He was predeceased by: his parents, Quintilio Araújo and Clotilde Araújo (Monteiro Barbosa); his daughter Clotilde Alcinda Araújo; and his brothers, Jose Araújo and Carlos Araújo.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth H. Araújo (Silva); his children, Rui Araújo (Janet) of Rockland and Luis Araújo of Attleboro; his siblings, Alcinda Araújo of Dorchester, Maria Manuela Araújo of Dorchester, Manuel Araújo of Quincy, Clotilde Nesbitt Araújo of Dorchester, Gil Araújo of Lisbon, Portugal and Nidia Monteiro of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Hunter, Maya, Christian, Stephen, Khalil Screen, Gianna Screen, Joshua Pryor, Caleb Pryor and Leila Screen; his great grandchildren, Roman and Evelyn; Deirdre Araújo.
