It is with sadness that the passing of Dennis Kane of Auburn, Massachusetts is shared. Dennis, born on September 1, 1940 in Washington, District of Columbia, passed away on October 22, 2026. He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Judith Anne Kane (Judy); daughters: Terry Nordborg (Steve), Debbie Whitton (James) and Nancy Hassett (Robert Paul); son: Timothy Kane (Danielle); grandchildren: Benjamin Pond, Molly Buchan (David), Katherine Santos-Nordborg (Luis), Chelsea Pearsall (Roland), Lindsey Whitton, Kristen Polci (Alex), Nicholas Whitton, Sarah Hassett (Kyle Pellerin), Leah Hassett, Timothy Kane Jr. and Christopher Kane; brother: Phillip Kane (Dorothy); sister: Patricia Hedrick (David); sister-in-law: Donna Estey (Ken); parents: Loretta Kane and Gerard Kane; brother-in-law: David McInerny; other: Rev. Edward "Monk" Malloy, Red Auerbach; and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pinecrest Baptist Church (379 Greenwood St, Millbury, MA 01527). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
A reception with light refreshments will then be held back at the church following burial around 12:30 p.m. Gifts may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice Home in memory of Dennis to support patient care at VNA Care, Fund Development, 67 Millbrook St., 500 North, Worcester, MA 01606 or via http://www.vnacare.org.
