He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kavanagh and Julia Kavanagh (Melia); his sister Catherine "Kitty" Jacques; and his siblings-in-law, Augustine O'Meara and Bridie Kavanagh.
He is survived by: his wife Mary M. Kavanagh (Coyne); his children, William F. Kavanagh (Kristen) of Philadelphia, PA and Mary McGrail (Matthew) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Nicholas, William Kavanagh, Conor and Molly McGrail; his siblings, Mary Ellen O'Meara of Whitinsville and William "Willie" Kavanagh of Claregalway; his brother-in-law Al Jacques of Grafton; and his nephew James O'Meara (Leann) of Northbridge. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
