He was predeceased by: his father Maurice J. Girard; and his stepson Kristopher Berthiaume. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie E. Girard (Harmon); his mother Rachel M. Girard (Beaudoin); his children, Kimberly Hobb (J. D.) of Louisiana, Eric Girard (Tenisa) of Worcester and Raymond Girard of Cape Cod; his stepson Joseph L. Berthiaume (Stacey) of Dudley; his grandchildren, Aiden, Emma and Ian; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy, Lindsey and Steven; his great grandchild Ivy; his sister Denise Sullivan (William) of Cape Elizabeth, ME; and his nieces, Katherine and Anna Sullivan.
