James Benson Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Benson and Mary Benson (Coyne) of Melrose, MA; and his siblings, Maureen Basile, Joe and Bob McCabe.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth (Matson); his children, Jim Benson, Jr., Liz Tahaney (Matt), Michelle Stanton (Bill), Maureen Wilson (Peter) and John Benson (Jenny); his grandchildren, Caroline, Emily, Billy, Grace, Carter, Joe, Andrew, Charlie, Mickey, Colin, Bethany, Claire, Johnny and James; and his sister Bea Hill of Stoneham. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home (91 Central St, Auburn, MA 01501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church (305 Goldthwaite Rd, Whitinsville, MA 01588).
