With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Caprera of Auburn, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar A. DeFosse and Yvonne A. DeFosse (Raboin); her brother Ronald A. DeFosse; her son-in-law Michael T. McCarthy; and her husband George P. Caprera.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly R. McCarthy (Eric Casavant) and Sandra Caissie (Robert Caissie); her granddaughters, Brianna Caissie and Georgia Caissie (Tyler Lindquist); and her close friends, Sue Burgess, Paula Treveloni and Barbara Simons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the North American Martyrs Church (8 Wyoma Dr, Auburn, MA 01501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
