George J. Markunas Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on September 5, 2025, at the age of 77, George J. Markunas of Avon, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Markunas and Anna Markunas (Ambrutis); his daughter Kathleen "Katie" Markunas Crowell (Michael Crowell) of Milton; and his siblings, William Markunas and Anita Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Marie E. Markunas (McFarland); his children, Christopher Markunas of Roslindale, David Markunas (Rebecca) of Mansfield, Josephine, Myles Markunas, Elizabeth and Grace Crowell; and his nephews, Peter Markunas of Georgia and Mark Markunas of San Francisco.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Katie Crowell Foundation in honor of George.
