He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Chapelle and Frances Chapelle (Kelly); and his sister Marcia Chapelle. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Chapelle (Hughes); his children, Mark Chapelle (Allison) of Plainville, Melissa (Justin Tilley) of Bridgewater, Matthew Chapelle and Samantha Fitzgerald of Brockton; his grandchildren, Mason, Connor, Corrine and Chloe; and his brothers, Paul Chapelle (Dottie) of Hopkinton, Richard Chapelle of Thailand, Eugene Chapelle of California and Scott Chapelle (Regina) of Pembroke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
