It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard A. Fernandes of Avon, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Fernandes and Maria Fernandes (Pontes); and his son Richard Anthony Fernandes. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Fernandes and Navy; his sister Mae Teixeira of Avon; his brothers-in-law, Camilo Lopes and Joao Teixeira; his nieces, Kasilda Teixeira (Domingo Williams) and Kylia Teixeira; and his great-nephew Domingo Williams Jr.. He is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Farley Funeral Home (358 Park St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (122 Canton St, Stoughton, MA 02072).
