He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald F. Schaefer, Sr. and Lillian M. Schaefer (Mulvihill). He is survived by: his siblings, Donald F. Schaefer, Jr. of Ayer and Mary C.; his brother-in-law Craig Erban of Leominster; his nieces and nephews, Gerald Herrmann, Benjamin Herrmann, Shannon Schaefer and Justine Herrmann; his great-nieces, Norah Herrmann, Vivian Herrmann and Eliza Herrmann; and his great-nephew Chase LaVoie.
