It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Otis Ellis Sr. (Barnstable, Massachusetts), who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his sisters, Marjorie Ellis and Mary Louise Bryant (late Ed Bryant); his wife Joan Ellis (Watts); and his children, James Otis Ellis, Jr. (Priscilla Isaacs Ellis), John Ellis (Laurie Benolken Ellis), Jennifer Ellis-Stern (late Andrew Stern) and Jason Ellis. He was also cherished by six grandsons, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

“Dear Joan, Since retiring, I have lost touch with so many wonderful People, I just learned last night of Jim's passing and I wanted you to know how Special Jim and yourself are to me. I always looked forward to seeing you at the office and made sure I got a wave from you both when I passed by your house on my motorcycle. A more Patriotic Family such as yours is hard to come by, and I am Honored to be your Friend. Jim and I always joked that we are probably related! Peace and love to Him and His”
