He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hamel (Connors) and Raymond Hamel; his wife Kirsten Hamel (Casey); his stepmother Norma Ducharme Hamel; and his sibling's children, Scott Hamel and Joyce Hamel.
He is survived by: his former wife Maureen Riendeau (Roche); his son Christopher Hamel of Albuquerque, NM; his grandson Caleb Hamel; his son David Hamel (Jenn) of Margate, FL; his granddaughter Aubryn; his sister-in-law Jill Anderson; his siblings, Robert Hamel, Kathy Hamel Bare of Susanville, CA and Michael Hamel (Shelly) of Franklin, NH; his stepsiblings, Marilyn, Clive McAuliffe and Jack Ducharme; his siblings' children, Kim Hamel Parker, Kyle Bare, Jason Hamel and Stephanie Damour; and also Kim.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Witty's Funeral Home (158 S Main St, Orange, MA 01364).
