She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervine Whittaker and Esther Whittaker (Bassick); her husband Thomas Carey; and her brother Francis "Frank" Whittaker. She is survived by: her children, Anne Carey of Hopkinton and Michael Carey (Annie Hurwitz) of Natick; her grandchildren, Emily Rigdon (William) of Franklin and Nicholas Carey of Decatur; her brother John "Jack"; and her sister-in-law Joan of Scituate.
