He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. and Mary T. McGarrell (O'Rourke); and his brother Stephen McGarrell. He is survived by: his daughter Maryanne O'Neill (John "Jack") of Bellingham; his sisters, Mary O'Brien (Mark) of North Attleboro, Michelle Doherty (Peter) and Ann Driscoll (late Robert); and his grandchildren, Jack, Jason and Chloe O'Neill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
