It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Anthony Smith (Belmont, Massachusetts), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Smith and Mathell Burham. He is survived by: his sister Jamie; and his brother-in-law Stephen Luebbehusen.
A reception will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home (52 Trapelo Rd, Belmont, MA 02478).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mil Milagros Inc. (https://www.milmilagros.org) celebration of Tony's life will take place at a later date.
