We announce the death of Frances Elizabeth (Melanson Powers) Collins of Beverly, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 89. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Powers; her parents, William Melanson and Stella Melanson (Falkowski); her daughters, Kathleen Harrison and Christine O'Donnell; and her siblings, Donald Melanson, Robert Melanson and Paula Gass.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Rachael O'Donnell of Peabody and Alaina O'Donnell of Peabody; and her sister Catherine Spring of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (525 Cabot St, Beverly, MA 01915). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (111 New Balch St, Beverly, MA 01915).
