It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Deveney Lovejoy (Beverly, Massachusetts), who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cameron Deveney and Ursula Lennox Deveney; her former husband Joseph Ensign Lovejoy; and her brother James Deveney. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her daughter Deven Lovejoy of Florida; her stepdaughter Clare Byrne of Gloucester; her grandchildren, Michaela Soper of Beverly, Olivia Kaneb of Hamilton and Jackson Byrne of Gloucester; and her great grandchild Lily Soper of Beverly.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Episcopal Church (705 Hale St, Beverly, MA 01915).
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Joan's memory may be made to Joslin Diabetes, Boston, MA, Boys and Girls Club of Boston, and Proctor Academy.
